Rich Purtell

Rich Purtell is a mechanical engineer with over 38 years experience in construction, specializing in HVAC and building automation for the last 33 years. He has been an active volunteer for decades, serving twelve (12) years on funding allocation panels for Broome County United Way, as group president for associations such as the Johnson City Jaycees, Twin Tiers ASHRAE, and the Southern Tier Energy council. He’s currently a member of Endwell Rotary and the Apalachin Lion’s Club. He was a Libertarian party candidate for NYS Senate in 2015 and 2016 and ran for Town of Owego councilman in 2017 and 2019. He also serves as Vice-Chair for the Tioga County Libertarian Party and 2nd Vice-Chair of the LPNY.
